MAJOR LEAGUE DEBUT: September 7th, 2010 against the Washington Nationals

NICKNAME: Gee Man

HOBBIES: I enjoy hunting and fishing

FAVORITE THING TO DO ON AN OFFDAY:  I like to relax and play golf.

SPORTS HERO WHEN YOU WERE GROWING UP:  Being a Texas boy, only one guy - Nolan Ryan

PLAYERS I’D PAY TO WATCH PLAY BASEBALL PAST OR PRESENT: Once again, Nolan Ryan

FIRST JOB: I was a maintenance worker for my local school district.

BEHIND MY BACK, PEOPLE SAY: That I am probably not good enough to be pitching in the Major Leagues.

BEST ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED: Stay on an even keel all the time, don’t get too excited or too down.

FAVORITE CITY TO VISIT: Chicago, there is so much to do there with all the restaurants and little shops.

FAVORITE BALLPARK: Our home park, Citi Field. I seem to always pitch well here.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: I haven’t had any disappointments as of yet, it’s all been fun and good memories.

PLAYERS I LEARNED THE MOST FROM: No one specific player, all the Mets players have been helpful and great.

HAD I NOT MADE IT AS A MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYER, I WOULD HAVE BEEN: A firefighter.

BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON MY CAREER: My parents, who taught me the right ways in life.

TOUGHEST HITTER I EVER FACED: Ryan Howard of the Phillies. I always seem to have trouble getting him out.

LIFE AFTER BASEBALL: Spend time with my wife, relax and play lots of golf.

MY MOST MEMORABLE GAME I WAS INVOLVED IN: In late September of 2010, the Phillies needed one game to clinch a playoff spot. I pitched a great game in their ballpark and we beat them.

MOST EMBARRASSING BASEBALL EXPERIENCE: In that Phillies game, I tripped on the mound while warming up. Man, did I hear it from the Phillies fans. That was very embarrassing!

BIGGEST THRILL TO DATE AS A MAJOR LEAGUE PLAYER:  Just being in the big leagues sharing the field with all these superstars.
