Watch: Francesa Calmly Discuss Rivera/Colon

I have to agree with Francesa on this one. Colon was dominant, but never do I pass up the opportunity to go to Rivera in the ninth inning. Classic second guess. Anyway, Mike’s response to criticism is just plain funny

What if Colon gives up a homer to start the ninth? Then Girardi gets second guessed for NOT bring in the greatest closer in the game. Gotta Go To Mo!

Wrong call to me..Colon was dominating and had thrown just 87 pitches. There was no reason to remove him. There’s way too much deference shown to closers in this era. “He is Mariano Rivera!!!!”
