Williams and Marichal Conduct Baseball Clinics

By Mike Silva ~ February 7th, 2011. Filed under: Announcements.

I was informed of a pretty interesting event courtesy of Time Warner Cable that I wanted to share with the New York fans:

Former Yankees All-Star Bernie Williams and Baseball Hall of Famer Juan Marichal join Time Warner Cable in the donation of baseball equipment to the Inwood Little League of New York City in celebration of the Caribbean World Series.

Bernie Williams and Juan Marichal conducted baseball clinics with the Inwood Little League kids, distributed autographed baseballs and delivered remarks about Time Warner Cable’s donation to the Inwood Little League, which included athletic equipment such as catcher’s gear, a batting cage and a pitching machine. In addition, Inwood Little League kids who attended the event received a Time Warner Cable gift certificate to support their enrollment in their League in the upcoming season. To wrap up the event, attendees enjoyed ESPN Deportes’ viewing of the Caribbean World Series’ Mexico vs. Dominican Republic.

During the event, Marisol Martínez de Rodríguez, Senior Director of Hispanic Segment Marketing for Time Warner Cable stated: “We are excited and proud to have yet another opportunity to empower the local Hispanic community with the resources needed to help them reach their dreams. An event such as this, further marks Times Warner Cable’s commitment to the Hispanic community. It is truly is a joy to be able to make a difference in the lives of our customers.”

Also as part of the Caribbean World Series celebration, Time Warner Cable conducted a national sweepstakes via the Mi Cultura Facebook page. The lucky winner and three of his guests are currently enjoying the Caribbean World Series in Puerto Rico.

Time Warner Cable customers will have access to view four full games of the Caribbean World Series on Time Warner Cable’s Lo Mejor On Demand channel under the ESPN Deportes category, at no cost.

To see exclusive highlights of the event, visit the Time Warner Cable Mi Cultura Facebook page.
