All Star Experience Tonight on WGBB

Kicking off the show is our good friend and former big league catcher Brent Mayne. He has been on our show a couple of times before, but tonight he will share his experience as the American League bullpen catcher at the All Star Game. You can check out his website The Art of Catching as well.
Former big leaguer David Newhan will be with us as well. David’s father Ross is a Hall of Fame sportswriter and they have started their own blog called Newhan on Baseball. Here me discuss a ballplayer growing up in a media family, the miraculous recovery from a potential career ending injury he suffered this year, and his time playing in New York.
Howard Megdal of SNY will round out the show with his weekly segment. We give a few last thoughts on George Steinbrenner, Howard’s report on Wilpon MLS ownership, and what we can expect from the Mets the remainder of this West Coast trip.
