Labor Day Digest @9pm

By Mike Silva ~ September 5th, 2010. Filed under: Radio Show.

Join me this holiday weekend as I talk New York baseball with NYBD contributors for a abbreviated 45 minute show.

Joe Delgrippo of the Shore Sports Report will talk Yankees at 9pm. We talk about the AL East pennant race, innings limitations, the Yankees pitching, and Derek Jeter‘s spot in the lineup.

Howard Megdal will join me around 9:20 to talk Mets baseball. We break down Jenrry Mejia‘s first big league start, Ike Davis rookie season, and the Jeff Wilpon/Wally Backman meeting from earlier this week.

First, I need to say that I really enjoy the podcast, because the rest of this comment describes a problem with the latest episode.

I’ve downloaded the mp3 twice now from blogtalkradio, and both files are pretty much unlistenable. I’m not sure what the word is for the distortion I hear, but it sounds as if there’s another podcast bleeding into NYBD’s.

I have the same problem with two other blogtalkradio mp3 files I downloaded yesterday (Sun Sep 5): SethSpeaks Minnesota Twins and Jack Steal’s Twins Sweep Rangers, so I supppose the problem is on blogtalkradio’s end. FYI, this is the first time I’ve had a problem with any blogtalkradio files, though on yours, Howard is a lot fainter|quieter than Mike.

I know there was some sound issues with the levels, I talked to John Sweet, but I don’t hear the back feed.

We are going to test this Sunday, please let me know if this is the case again on Sunday. Sounds like we got a bad batch this week
