A-Rod’s Latest Lie

So was it safe to assume A-Rod was relieved at the relative mildness of Torre’s criticism?

“No, not relieved, surprised,” the source said. “Relieved would imply that he gives a [damn]. Alex doesn’t [care] what anybody thinks of him.”

Why does A-Rod, and anyone associated with him, continue to lie? If the above statement was true then A-Rod wouldn’t have such trouble playing here. Usually, and tell me if I am wrong about this, when someone says that they don’t care what people think – they usually do.

Only three weeks to Spring Training. Hopefully, baseball can have us move away from the latest A-Rod controversy. You have to admit, it’s good for business. After a slow weekend, things have certainly perked up since the Torre book came out on Sunday.

    Who cares.

A-Rod’s focus will be on winning a World Series this season.

Torre’s the guy who looks bad here.

He’s the guy who broke his own rules and aired dirty laundry when he chastised others for doing the same.

You have accused A-Rod of being a serial liar, yet to support that claim, you have cited what you believe is false statement that was made by…wait for it…someone other than A-Rod.

Do you have trouble understanding the English language or are you guilty of what you have falsely, at least based on these facts, accused A-Rod of doing?

Seriously, in a net filled with wacky posts, this one is off the freakin’ charts.

This is why no one takes this site seriously.

Only Yankees fans would hate on a MVP player year in and year out!!!
Leave the guys alone and let him play ball! He not a spotlight player, so let the others have it.

Why would A-Rod care about what Torre says, seriously?

    1. A-Rod got the message of what Torre thought of him when batting him 8th.
    2. Torre is getting roasted for the book. A-Rod is probably giggling about that.
    3. Torre has nothing to do with the Yankees, and with the book, likely won’t be for the foreseeable future.
    4. Torre managed to make A-Rod a martyr.

Define trouble for us please – does trouble = 2 MVP awards in 5 seasons? Being the best player on a team that’s been to the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years?

I guess you’d rather hang your hat on like 12 postseason games the guy has struggled in. Goodness, give me a break. This is turning into the Francesca wannabe hour.
