Mets sign Alex Cora

According to Rob Bradford of WEEI the Mets have agreed to terms with infielder Alex Cora on a 1 year $2 million deal. Cora will come in to replace Damion Easley as the main infield utility man. Cora played with the Red Sox in 2008, even starting a lot of crucial games for the team at shortstop. So pressure is not an issue for him. It always seemed Easley crumbled or got hurt under pressure, Cora will make for a great guy to give Reyes the occasional day off, and spell Luis Castillo, even if for an extended period of time.
