Mets offer 3 year deal to Derek Lowe

According to Jack Curry of the NY Times, the Mets have offered free agent RHP Derek Lowe a 3 year deal worth $36 million dollars. A nice starting offer, and a good launching pad to anything more. I can’t imagine Lowe nets anything above $14 million per season. More on this as it develops.
