Mets and Ken Takahashi

MLB Trade Rumors cited a rumor that the Mets are frontrunners for Japanese lefty Ken Takahashi. I don’t know anything about Takahashi other then he is left handed and 39 years old. The Mets are going to need a second situational lefty out of the bullpen now that Scott Schoeneweis has been traded. Perhaps Takahashi fits that role. Last year for the Hiroshima Carp he was 8-5 with a 3.50 ERA.
