Cashman’s on the way to Cali

According to NY Newsday, Yankees GM Brian Cashman has left the Winter Meetings to fly to California to meet with CC Sabathia again, as well as his wife Amber. The goal is definitely to sell Amber on the city because it appears that if Amber doesn’t approve of a situation, CC will not go there. If Amber gets sold on NYC, I find no reason to believe as to why Sabathia would not end up a Yankee considering the financial figure. The Yankees are pulling out all the stops here, and are willing to do whatever they’ve got to to lure Sabathia to the Bronx, even if that means putting everything else on hold to fly out to California. Have to credit Cashman here, if you want something done, you have to go figure out a way to do it yourself, and this is excellent thinking by Cashman. Who knows, maybe this could get resolved quicker than some think. I do expect it to last through the holidays though.

Cashman flew out to California at Sabathia’s request. That is the second time Sabathia has requested a meeting with Cashman this week.
