NoMaas, As Usual, Spot On About Yanks

I’m not sure if this is an indictment upon me or not – but it sure is a fact: I find myself agreeing practically 100% of the time with NOMAAS.ORG when they reveal their front page editorials and observations.
This morning the imitable Lane Meyer discusses his reasons why the Yanks should consider a Robby Cano for Matt Cain trade. His reasons are all sound, including the observation that Cano can easily be dealt. It’s my personal opinion that Cano has his head up his patuti, and it’s a crying shame that he needs a drill sergeant like Larry Bowa to bark at him constantly in order to keep him “focused.”
No matter how you look at it, Cano has underperformed. Despite normally high battering averages, his lifetime OBP is still below league average. This year, he compiled a woeful -18 Runs Created Above Average. That’s really, really bad, folks.
Matt Cain’s peripherals are sound. Only a fool would worry about his W/L record with the Giants. This trade makes perfect sense for the Yanks.
