Idea: Jeff Francoeur for Chan Ho Park

Jayson Stark believes the Yankees are looking to deal Chan Ho Park who is making $1.2 million this year. There has also been talk they are also looking for a right handed complement for Curtis Granderson. How about the two local teams make a rare swap and trade Jeff Francoeur for Chan Ho Park.
Francoeur is hitting .316 versus LHP with a .780 OPS. On days where the Yankees face a lefty they can put Francoeur in right, Brett Gardner in center, and move Nick Swisher to left.
As for Park, he wasn’t successful his first stint as a Met (15.75 ERA), but has success out of the bullpen in the National League. His career era out of the bullpen is 4.18 with a strikeout rate of 8.5. In 2008 he had a great year for the Dodgers (3.40 ERA, 123 ERA+). Is he any worse than Manny Acosta? He certainly has more upside.
The last time these teams hooked up for a trade in season was for Armando Benitez in 2003. It didn’t work out for either side (Jason Anderson went to the Mets the other way) as the Yanks turned Benitez into Jeff Nelson Part Two.
Not a crazy idea to help both teams with a need.

Actually there is a more recent trade. I believe it was Felix Heredia for Mike Stanton. Circa 2004 Nice reporting

I mean in season, which is very rare. Didn’t think I needed to be that specific, but I forgot water finds its lowest point.
