3-D Tour of Ebbets Field

Earlier today I posted a 3-D tour of the Polo Grounds, I also found one of Ebbets Field.
Ebbets Field seemed like a good hitters park. It was called a “bandbox”, but I see it as fair to right handed batters. Of course it did have that short porch in right that was only 297 feet from home plate. I am sure Duke Snider took advantage of those favorable dimensions. The stat prove that assertion as well as Snider had an OPS just under .980 for his career at home.
It’s interesting how even the description on Wikipedia mentions how Ebbetts Field is more popular today than when it actually stood. It’s described as cramped and decrepit towards the end, and the rotunda was a bottleneck. Obviously it’s no secret that Ebbets Field was the inspiration to Citi Field.
Of course I welcome whatever memories and perspective from fans who actually watched a ballgame at Ebbets. Enjoy the video.
