Hot Stove Sunday Tonight @7pm
By Mike Silva ~ November 22nd, 2009. Filed under: Radio Show.
Howard Megdal of SNY joins me in his usual Sunday night spot as we talk about the latest from the Hot Stove.
We will kick off the show discussing the NY Cy Young Award controversy with ESPN’s Keith Law and Will Carroll of BP. I also want Howard’s take on collusion and the statements made by Scott Boras, Bud Selig, and Rob Manfred.
We also will chat about latest entrant in the Roy Halladay sweepstakes (the Dodgers) and if they are now the favorites to land the Toronto ace with a deal focused on Chad Billingsley and if the Yankees could “steal” Halladay by taking on Vernon Wells contract. I will also get Howard’s take on keeping Hideki Matsui for off the field reasons. Finally, I will tell you why it’s so important for the Yankees to acquire a veteran middle reliever.
You heard the rumored three way deal where Kevin Millwood goes to the Mets. I will discuss the injury concerns I have and talk about the difficult pitching situation the Mets are in due to the current market, the new focus on history at Citi Field, and how ridiculous it would be to acquire Jose Guillen.
