Bizarre GMA Interview With Brooke Hundley

Steve Phillips mistress, Brooke Hundley, decided to make her television debut to tell her side of the story this week.

I find this interview to be quite bizarre. Obviously Phillips is wrong for the extramarital affair, but her position that she is an equal victim and her actions were a cry for help is another sad indictment about the lack of accountability in today’s society. She is 22 years old and was working for a huge company. Adults know the difference between right and wrong and take accountability for their actions. It seems that Hundley wants to play in the adult world, but still be given the same pass as a child. I will say ESPN doesn’t go unscathed here. They are correct in saying that Hundley’s story has inconsistencies (i.e. retracting a restraining order), but a company with a history of looking the other way with this type of behavior shouldn’t be taken off the hook. If you read between the lines it’s almost as if Hundley is saying she stalked the family in order to get the employer to listen. Another example of executives in a company more worried about being important and their title than doing the right thing. The only victim I see in this scenario is Phillips family who has to deal with the lifelong pain and embarrassment this situation brings. You can also tell the host, Kate Snow, wasn’t buying Hundley’s act either. If the old saying is your 15 minutes of fame are up I would amend that to say that Hundley’s five minutes of fame are up – now please go away.

You can watch the entire 10 minute interview at ABC’s website or below.

Couldn’t agree more with that being a problem in America in general today. Don’t say you’re 22 and that happens. You’re 22 and know exactly what you are doing if you have an affair with someone who is married.

I’m 19 and I know a relationship with a man old enough to be my father who is married with kids is just wrong on so many levels, even the thought makes me wince. That girl needs therapy. She did not even apologize for stalking the son on Facebook or those calls to the wife. She only feels bad for hearing Marni Phillips’ 911 call after she road-raged her in an episode out of Fatal Attraction.

Sure it was terrible her looks came first and not her psychotic behavior but she seems to be an ugly person which no trip to beautician can help you with eg Carrie Prejean.
