Ike Davis makes AFL Rising Stars Game

Mets 1B prospect Ike Davis is the lone Met to be named to the AFL’s Rising Stars Game. This game is essentially the All Star Game of All Star Games when it comes to prospects. The AFL is where the best prospects tend to play their off-season ball, though some do go to Venezuela,the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
Ike’s line in the AFL:
.340 average 3 HR 10 RBI in 12 games.
The game will be aired Saturday on the MLB Network and will have a pitching match-up of Stephen Strasburg of the Nationals and Mike Minor of the Braves. Both pitchers were top 10 picks in the 2009 First Year Player Draft.
