Listen to Mets and Yankees Alumni on a Rainy Saturday
By Mike Silva ~ September 6th, 2008. Filed under: Radio Show.
Since the Mets and Phils were rained out, and the Yankees don’t play till tonight, I figured my loyal listeners might be looking for a baseball “fix” this afternoon.
Listen to two of the more popular “alumni reports” from earlier this year. This were aired before we went independent as “NY Baseball Digest”
At 3:00 PM you will hear from former Yankees Designated Hitter Ron Blomberg. He will discuss his book “Designated Hebrew”, talk about growing up Jewish in the deep south, playing in New York, and managing in the Israel Baseball League. To listen live at CLICK HERE.
At 4:00 PM we will take a trip down Mets memory lane with former 2b Wally Backman. We will re-live playing in New York during the eighties, his controversial firing from the Arizona Diamondbacks, and his philosophies on managing a big league ballclub. To listen live CLICK HERE.
Both of these shows will be available for download about a half hour after live performance in our RADIO ARCHIVE or by subscribing to our show in the iTunes stores below.
