Wang, Yanks Bullpen, Mets D, and Tony B @ 8 pm
By Mike Silva ~ July 5th, 2009. Filed under: Radio Show.
Howard joins me tonight at 8pm for the latest edition of the Weekly Digest.
We will recap the series in Philadelphia and discuss the Mets sloppy play on defense. With the recent report of Tony Bernazard’s continued meddling is management greasing the skids for a fruitless summer? When will it be time to wave the white flag?
The Yankees are flying high and on the verge of hitting another season benchmark: 15 games over .500. The emergence of the bullpen may just have put them on even ground with Boston. There are some issues to discuss as we talk about Robinson Cano’s slow descent into 2008 and the impact of Chien Ming Wang’s injury. Should the Yanks put Phil Hughes back in the fifth spot or give Sergio Mitre a chance? I also get Howard’s take on the criticism of Jorge Posada’s defense and handling of the pitching staff. Is it overrated?
