Marlon Anderson Signs with Newark Bears

The Newark Bears have signed noted pinch-hitting enthusiast Marlon Anderson to a contract. He joined the team last night.
Anderson has spent all or part of the last 11 seasons in the big leagues. He’s appeared in 1,147 games with the Phillies, Rays, Cardinals, Mets, Nationals and Dodgers.
Marlon made many big pinch hits with the Mets. He was part of the solution, not the problem, down the stretch in 2007. I wish him the best in his quest to get back to organized ball.
