Tamar Hamlin: Buffalo Bills defense still in ‘long recovery’, spokesman says


Over two weeks Buffalo Bills safety Tamar Hamlin Suffering a heart attack during a game, Hamill’s rep says the defenseman has a long road ahead of him.

Jordan Rooney, Hamlin’s longtime friend and business partner, told CNN: “Despite being released from the hospital, Tamar is still in a long recovery.

“Tamar still needs oxygen and his heart is being monitored regularly. He’s had a few visits with the team, but he’s still coming off very easily. He’s upbeat and positive and ready to continue to tackle this.

The report comes after Bills head coach Sean McDermott told reporters that Hamlin has been at the team facility almost daily. CNN previously reported.

“It’s been limited, overall, but he’s coming in — it actually started today or yesterday — trying to get back into a routine a little bit, reacclimating himself, taking it one baby step at a time,” McDermott said Wednesday of Hamlin.

“The way he looks, walking around here, it’s a positive thing and seeing the three [Hamlin wears the No. 3 on his jersey] Just smile and just wave and push it to keep his hearts. It’s a bubble of positive energy that floats around the facility,” offensive lineman Dion Dawkins said.

The Bills are set to play against the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET – Buffalo collapses at Hamlin Stadium.
