York Ties Atlantic League Championship Series

The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution 9-0  tonight in Game Two of the Atlantic League Championship Series at Bethpage Ballpark. The series is now tied at one apiece.

York was one of the best offensive team in the Atlantic League and they showed why tonight hitting 3 homers off Ducks starter Josh Banks. The big blow was a 3-run homer by shortstop Ramon Castro.

Lorenzo Barcelo got the win after tossing six scoreless innings, allowing just five hits and three walks while striking out five.

The final three games of the series will be played at Sovereign Bank Stadium in York, PA.

    York was not the best offensive team in the Atlantic League this year, the Ducks were. Their team BA was .294 vs. .290 for York. The Ducks had 30 more HR’s and 106 more RBI’s than York.
