Philly Fan Arrogance at the Stadium

By Mike Silva ~ October 30th, 2009. Filed under: 2009 World Series.

I was speaking to a couple of friends this afternoon that were at the game last night. They were Yankees fans who obviously aren’t familiar with the poor behavior that accompanies Philadelphia fans during their visits to opposing stadiums.

Apparently there was a loud contingency of Phils fans that caused fights and even started trouble while waiting on line at the restroom. This is normal behavior that I can confirm from the days of Shea and now Citi Field. Having a good team has only enhanced this type of obnoxious behavior. For those that were at the game what was your experience? I am trying to get a feel of the crowd and the Phillies fans in general at a World Series game. Also, was it a corporate type crowd? According to some the answer was yes.

…couldn’t help but laugh at a Yankee fan whining about another team’s fans being arrogant.

Then the pot said, “Yo, kettle, you’re black! Go yanks.”
