Please Welcome The Latest NYBD Contributors

By Mike Silva ~ February 11th, 2009. Filed under: Announcements.

My original goal with Mike Silva’s NY Baseball Digest was to have a personal “digest” of information on New York baseball. As I learned more about the changing media, it was clear that other talented individuals, like me, needed a place to hone their craft as well. I am happy to announce that we will have two new writers joining NYBD and contributing to the “best independent New York baseball coverage on the internet”. Please welcome:

Andrew Mees

Andrew Mees is an aspiring sports writer who covers the Mets for Examiner.com, and Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics for his official website, www.paulpierce.net.  A graduate of Elizabethtown College and a four-year member of the baseball team, he is tied for third on Etown’s all-time saves list, and currently holds the position of Pitching Coach at Bloomfield College in New Jersey.  His favorite Met of all time is Gary Carter, and he will always regret never sitting in the bleacher seats at Shea.

Aaron Coleman

Aaron Coleman is the newest NY Baseball Digest writer. He will cover the Mets AA affiliates the Binghamton Mets as well as put together multimedia packages of the Trenton Thunder and the New York Yankees. He comes to us from Akron,OH where he grew up rooting for the Mets. Aaron graduated from the University of Akron where he earned a degree in Radio/TV/Media Production. He was a part of the sports team at WZIP-FM, the college station at the University of Akron. Aaron looks forward to being a part of the team at NY Baseball Digest.
