Pirates Sign Two Pitchers Out of India

Tim Dierkes at MLB Trade Rumors reports that the Pirates signed Indian pitchers Dinesh Patel and Rinku Singh to minor league deals. Patel and Singh were finalists in the Million Dollar Arm contest in India. Former Yankees pitcher Steve Trout joined us on NY Baseball Digest Radio and mentioned that India might become the next hotbed of professional baseball talent. This kind of news can only mean a greater pool of talent that should improve the level of play for the next generation.
