Poll: Is Mike Mussina a HOF?

By Mike Silva ~ November 22nd, 2008. Filed under: Polls.

Phil Allard thinks so. I do as well. What do the fans of NY Baseball Digest radio think? Vote below or leave us a comment. This Sunday, Howard and I will discuss the topic and read your thoughts on the air. Want to know why I think he deserves to go?

- He only has 270 wins, but he is 100 games over 500. That should count for something.

- Only one losing season in 18 years.

- Statistically compares to HOF pitchers like Jim Palmer, Clark Griffith, Carl Hubbell, Juan Marachal.

- Also compares through age 39 to Future Hall of Fame pitchers Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine.

Those are some quick thoughts, let us know what you think and vote below.

  1. YB

Plus, he pitched his whole career in the tough AL East and during the steroid era ta boot! (Yet he didn’t do steroids).

No doubt he should be in the Hall of Fame.

  2. Joseph DelGrippo

    “He only has 270 wins…”

    Now, that is funny!
