Bad News on Wang

Frank Russo just reported to me some bad news on Chien Ming Wang. Apparently, he threw earlier today, felt pain, and has been shut down. This doesn’t sound good and it appears we may have seen the last of Wang in 2009.
Our information from Tampa indicates that the Yankees will intensify their search for a starter. This doesn’t mean things have changed on Roy Halladay, but perhaps the Yanks will look more towards a back end of the rotation type starter (think Bronson Arroyo or Aaron Harang).
More information will come as we continue to see what we can find out.
