Let the Deals Being Tonight at 6pm

By Mike Silva ~ July 17th, 2011. Filed under: Radio Show.

We are two weeks from the trading deadline and the rumors are starting to heat up. Hear me talk about what to expect from the local teams over the next two weeks.

Starting at 6pm I will discuss the Mets deal of Francisco Rodriguez to Milwaukee. Hear some inside details about how it went down, the current market for Carlos Beltran (could it be the Giants?), and whether Jose Reyes will be on the block as well. Our friend Joe Demayo of St. Lucie to Flushing will join me to give his take as well.

Ubaldo Jimenez in pinstripes? It could happen. Hear my thoughts on Jimenez, Ricky Nolasco, and whether veterans like Ryan Dempster, Derek Lowe, or even Francisco Liriano are feasible.

Newsday’s Jim Baumbach had a front row seat for the Roger Clemens trial. He will join me to share the experience. Phillies broadcaster Tom McCarthy will discuss his election into the Trenton Baseball Hall of Fame.
