Save Lenny Dykstra Website

By Mike Silva ~ June 27th, 2011. Filed under: Sports Gossip.

Can’t make it up (assist to TerezOwens).

Lenny Dykstra has created a website to help get him out of jail. He has the 500k  collateral required, but it’s the 50k cash to pay the bail bond agent that he is short. That’s where you come into play. Take a read and go to the website if you feel so inclined to help his cause. I should have created a category for Dykstra since these stories just are too good to be true. By the way, the 500k collateral was put up by someone who plans on doing a movie about his life. At least that is what I heard.

Lenny, if you are reading, I will give you $100 bucks for a 15 minute interview.

Here is an excerpt of the request:

Dear Friends, Family, and Fans of Nails,
On April 14, 2011 Lenny Dykstra was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and held without bail for seven days.
While in custody, Lenny was taken to court three times, first in Van Nuys where he was not brought before a judge, but held throughout the day. No charges were filed. They called it a DA-reject.
His second day in court was in San Fernando. Once again, he was held all day – but not charged, another day of waiting around, another DA-reject.
His third appearance in court was before the Federal Magistrate on federal bankruptcy charges, for which he was released on bond and allowed to go home, pending trial.
However, after his release – Lenny was notified in early June, that the charges not originally filed in state court would soon be filed and he was told when to appear in court, and what to expect for bail. On June 6, 2011 Lenny appeared in state court and was once again remanded into state custody.
Since then, Lenny has remained in custody on $500,000 bail. To bond him out, it requires $40-50,000 in cash to pay the bail bond agent, and collateral of $500,000 to secure the bond. The $500K collateral for the bond has been secured, however – the bond premium is still needed.
A few of Lenny’s friends have come forward to assist Lenny with the bond premium, however since the court has refused to lower the bail amount, there is still a bit of a shortfall.

Maybe if he hadn’t already sold off his ’86 WS ring……….I wonder what he got for it in the first place? Oh, and good luck with the whole “feel sorry for me” website Lenny….you ain’t gettin’ no money from me. If I had any extra dough I’d send it to a truly worthy ’86 Met, Gary Carter, to help with his medical expenses.
