The hit HBO series “Entourage” will launch its eighth and final season this summer. According to reports there will be two members of the New York Yankees making appearances.

I have watched this episode since its debut, and I don’t believe any members of the Mets or Yankees have made an appearance, although Vince (Adrian Grenier) did get into an argument with Jeter’s girl Minka Kelly in last season’s finale. Mainly NBA players have starred in the show. According to a website “The Queen of Sports” athletes that have appeared on the show include: boxer Vitali Klitschko, NBA player Lamar Odom, boxer Lennox Lewis, UFC champion Chuck Lidell, golfer Phil Mickelson, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, NFL quarterback Tom Brady and NBA player LeBron James. Last season Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, NFL player Adrian Peterson, legendary boxer Mike Tyson, NBA player Chris Bosh, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, and NBA player Kevin Love made appearances as well.

Who could the two players be? Jerry Ferrara aka “Turtle” was mum on Twitter when asked the question. Curtis Granderson even chimed into the Twitter conversation which makes me wonder if he is one of the two.

The Mets also have an Entourage connection. Kevin Connolly aka E is part of a rumored investment group that includes executive producer Doug Ellin, as well costars Kevin Dillon and Ed Burns that is looking to purchase a minority stake in the team. Connolly grew up on Long Island and is also a huge Islanders fan as well.

There was a Mets reference on the show back in 2007 when Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon) was wearing a Lenny Dykstra jersey.

Am I missing any other New York baseball references? What Yankees do you think will be appearing on the show? I predict it will be Nick Swisher and Curtis Granderson. They are the most affable players on that roster. I could also see their personality translate well to television.
