Looking Back: Evan Roberts Debates Joe B on Beltran

This is why I like Evan Roberts, he understands the issues on a deeper level than 99.9% of the hosts at that station.

Best line is when Joe Benigno says Ryan Church is a better player than Carlos Beltran. Soft? The guy played with a knee that was bone on bone. Try walking, much less playing centerfield, with that type of condition.

By the way Joe, Mets go nowhere in 2006-2008, as a matter of fact they don’t sniff the playoffs, without Beltran.

This is classic irrational Benigno. I just wish we could have seen what outfit he was wearing that day from the Studio 54 era.
