UPDATE 4:55 – Bart Hubbuch says at his twitter that the Mets say there is nothing to the rumor.

The Mets say reports of Jose Reyes playing in a rehab game Thursday are not true.

UPDATE 4:27 PM – Will Carroll had this to say via his twitter.

Just spoke with PawSox. Yes, they’ve been given strong indication that Jose Reyes is headed to Pawtucket for rehab. Mets refused comment.

We haven’t heard anything about Reyes other than the cortisone shot. Where is this coming from? We will try and find out more info, but it seems to me that the PawSox are promoting something that won’t happen.
