Report: Yankees Offer 5 Year Deal To Burnett

By Frank Russo ~ December 10th, 2008. Filed under: Digest Contributors.

We received word at 7pm tonight that the Yankees have acquiesced to AJ Burnett’s demands for a mandatory 5th year and are now, as we speak, trying to close a deal ASAP. While the monetary terms of the offer have not been disclosed, it is believed that the Yankees will match or exceed anything that Atlanta has to offer.
